“Living Colour" is about our inability to actively or compassionately listen to one another, particularly when communicating needs and wants in a relationship, because we’re all so desperate to feel heard.

- Lyrics -
I know, you’ve heard it all before
and you can’t ignore
All the words and sounds of my voice.
It’s jarring even more and
Seeing you fade
as you’re walking away
it’s just painful
And we both know the truth and
you choose not to see it
I choose not to see it
I know that you think we’re different,
but I know we are all the same.
It is easier to look elsewhere.
When we know deep down inside
we are all to blame.
There are so many shameful things in the world
and we just walk on by
but the truth is,
there’s nothing left,
it’s all just a silly little lie
No reason to believe in you, but I do and you see right through me you see right through me
I know you said it’s different but I’ve heard it all before
I’ve been playing this stupid game too long now and it’s just such a bore
Sometime life doesn’t make much sense but we keep living the lie
And the truth is,
there’s nothing left,
we’ll all just shrivel away and die.
No reason to believe in you, but I do,
and you see right through me
You see right through me.
No reason to believe in you, but I do,
and you see right through me
You see right through me.
